Blue Dolphin Hotel, situated in Sithonia Chalkidiki, was awarded as one of nine most popular tourist resorts in Greece for 2006.
The hotel received a commendation for its high quality of service, giving Chalkidiki yet another international distinction.
An award like this is particularly special as it is given to the hotel by its own customers. Moreover, Blue Dolphin Hotel is the onlyhotel in Mainland Greece to have received this distinction, since the other eight award-winning hotels are located on the islands of Crete, Rhodes and Kos.
Over the last ten years, German tourists have created their own online forum. Their need to communicate, exchange opinions and experiences in regards to worldwide destinations they travel to has led to the creation of a website: "holidaycheck.de".
This site contains about 32.000 reviews on hotels from all over the world written by more than 440.000 Germans.
As experienced and demanding tourists, these people objectively evaluate, compare and rank hotels they have recently visited on holiday. The rankings are based on customer service quality.
At the end of the year, they select and award the top 99 hotels worldwide. Nine of the award-winning hotels are located in Greece.
